A bastion of intelligence and wit has seen fit to give us a nod. The Morning News is a website that requires an investment of time on the part of the reader. And by reader, I mean reader in the fullest sense of the word. This is not a site for hit and run internet style reading. It’s a place where good writing and interesting ideas are presented in a no-nonsense, tidy and appealing form. Kind of the anti-blog. I only visit The Morning News when I have at least 30 to 45 minutes to spend. It’s best enjoyed with a big cup of coffee, while sitting on the front porch. I like to read it like I read the New York Times — slowly and with some intentionality.
