Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin stopped into a small, southeastern Iowa town to down some barbeque less than an hour before parking its van in downtown Rock Island and cutting these four songs on February 24th, a Friday if we’re to say.

Bassist Jonathan James was doing some light tour reading, “2001: A Space Odyssey.” Guitarist Robert Cardwell was commenting how “Madelin” – a Catfish Haven song – had been unshakable for weeks. This is an introduction to a band that has as much potential as we were made to believe Bode Miller had before he got to Italy. We know what happened on those snowy downhill runs of his at the Torino Games, but these upstanding Missourians – from a spot in the deeply southern quadrant of the state where Johnny Cash performed “I Walk The Line” on “The Ozark Jubilee” for one of the first few times ever – don’t look or sound anything like that hippie.
